Welcome to the Directorate of Research Support at Kenyatta University. The Directorate’s purpose is to support researchers at Kenyatta University to conduct high quality research that is relevant to societal needs and competitive globally. Research is one of the key focus areas at KU that powers innovation, support academic activities, generates revenue, and enhances relevance and visibility of the university.

KU has enormous potential for high quality research in the large number of qualified staff in diverse areas of specialization, modern infrastructure and facilities, and strong collaborations established globally. The Directorate’s goal is to harness the potential through implementation of skills development activities and promoting best practices in grant writing and management, among other activities.

big-black-dotOrganize training to update staff knowledge and skills on research methods.
big-black-dotBuilding research capacity of academic staff to enhance teaching and supervision of postgraduate students.
big-black-dotDevelop and strengthen research partnerships nationally and internationally
big-black-dotWork closely with directorates, departments, schools & colleges to enhance research in KU.
