When a funding agency approves the grant application, the researcher and the University are both notified. The University opens a research account for the research project after the funds has been remitted to the University. Before funds can be released, the study must comply with standards governing use of human subjects if any is involved.
Thereafter, funds will be disbursed to the principal investigator on request and upon satisfactory confirmation by the University that previous activities for which funds was taken has been accounted for.
