interim report

Financial, technical, and progress reports are often required by sponsors on a fixed schedule throughout the lifetime of an award. These reports provide the sponsor with assurance that project activities are moving forward according to the terms of the agreement. Typically, the PI, is responsible for making sure that;

  • All progress reports are submitted to the sponsor on time;
  • Copies of all reports, along with the transmittal letter or e-mail, have been provided to the Research Monitoring & Budget Office.

Failure to provide required reports can result in funding delays in multi-year awards, early termination of the award by the sponsor, and can lead to the University not being able to apply for any future awards.

The Research Monitoring & Budget Office is responsible for the submission of any required fiscal reports.
